Former Ald. Vrdolyak pleads not guilty to tax charges
Former Chicago Ald. Edward Vrdolyak pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges alleging he obstructed an IRS investigation into a secret deal he cut in the 1990s to pocket millions of dollars from the massive tobacco lawsuit settlement without doing any work.
