This video has been created in response to a question via the HWT Developing Group:
“I’m a relative beginner (less than one year of formal training), and I originally wanted to learn hypnosis for entertainment purposes. I have had good success with one on one therapeutic sessions, but so far I have not had much success with impromptu phenomena.
I’ve commonly heard that “10%” (or whatever) of subjects will be somnambulists, capable of catalepsy, amnesia, hallucination, etc. What is the HWT take on this? Do you get phenomena from most subjects? Do you go along the Arons scale, see how far you can get and then stop, or what?”
Most people teach hypnosis from the perspective of scripts or techniques, but the truth is that real constant success with hypnosis is not founded in either, it is founded in a combination of understanding, skill, repertoire and state (the trance of the hypnotist).
In this video I talk about this idea, along with a whole host of other ‘pro-tips’ for increasing success in eliciting hypnotic phenomena.
