The northern end of Pine Island is home to the Bokeelia Wellness Center on Stringfellow Road where Dr. Carol Hess, M.D. has her family medicine practice and psychotherapist Dr. Margery Runyan provides family therapy, couples therapy, addiction counseling, meditation, hypnosis, psychology and spiritual assistance.
In addition to accepting new patients, they are expanding the health services offered at this location. A new massage therapy business, Massage by Jenna, opens at the Bokeelia Wellness Center this season. Many are already familiar with the new massage therapist. Pine Island resident Jenna Lombardo, licensed massage therapist, has shared her massage skills in Matlacha at the former Spa 33 and the Matlacha Wellness Center and also works as a server at The Blue Dog Bar and Grill.
Lombardo trained at the Academy of Massage Therapy and Bodywork in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. Her training includes work with Swedish and deep tissue massage. She lives and works on the island year round.

Massage by Jenna will give promotional perks to the first 20 new clients who make appointments and discounts to existing clients for making new referrals. Massage by Jenna opens to the public Friday, Dec. 1. The Bokeelia Wellness Center is located at 13960 Stringfellow Road, Bokeelia. Heading north, the complex is .5 miles north of mile marker 12 on the east side of Stringfellow Road. Look for the bright blue roof-the color of wellness.
